Public Funding Opportunities

Italy offers an extensive portfolio of public grants (“bandi”) and non-repayable contributions (“fondi perduti”) for qualified investments across tourism, technology, and regional development. Each month, new funding programs open at the regional, national, and EU levels.

Tourism Grant – Piedmont Region

  • 50% non-repayable grant for investments in B&Bs, rural lodges, campsites, and mountain refuges.
  • Maximum grant: €60,000
  • Application deadline: September 30, 2025

    • Ripresa Sicilia Plus – Innovation & Research Grant

  • Grant for industrial research (50%) and experimental development (25%) in Sicily.
  • Focus: boosting regional competitiveness in tech and innovation
  • Must be based in Sicily

    • FUNT 2025 – National Tourism Support Scheme

  • Nationwide grant for tourism enterprises improving guest experience, sustainability, and service quality.
  • Open to tourism businesses across Italy
  • Deadline: September 15, 2025

    • Resto al Sud 2.0 – Startup Grant for Southern Italy

  • Combination of non-repayable grant and launch vouchers (up to €50,000)
  • Covers 75% of investments ≤ €120,000 and 70% for projects up to €200,000
  • Available for startups and new ventures in Southern Italy
